Thrustmaster of Texas, Inc. manu- factures heavy duty commercial marine propulsion and thrusters. The factory and production of all thrusters is based out of Houston, Texas with a global network of sales offi ces in Rotterdam,

Singapore, Dubai, Brazil and India.

A service offi ce is located in Houma,

The Case:

Thrustmaster provides engineered thrusters (to shipyards) for barges,

RoRo ferries, Tugs, etc. that are spe- cially designed for shallow draft and brown water applications. All thrust- ers are developed in-house by a com- plete engineering department for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic design. Tooling includes machining and measuring equipment,

CAD, vessel resistance and propul- sion, 3D modeling and ANSYS Finite

Element Analysis. The application of modal analysis, stress and strain anal- ysis as well as rotor dynamic analysis of drive trains and transmissions are all fundamental to the reliability and quality of Thrustmaster’s products.
