The Whitehall Club Honors George W. Rogers

On January 17, 1977, in the main lounge of The Whitehall Club, New York, N.Y., The Geo.

W. Rogers Construction Corporation, represented by George B.

White, its president, and F.

Rogers Ketcham, vice president and nephew of the late George W.

Rogers, presented to The Whitehall Club a special edition of the Operation Sail prints. The prints were reproduced from the paintings by the famed marine artist Charles Lundgren, and personally dedicated to the memory of George W. Rogers. Mr. Lundgren further prepared a memorial, plaque of the Wavertree to accompany the set of prints. The plaque and prints have been hung permanently on the south wall of the Club Lounge of The Whitehall Club, and are a memorial to the late George W. Rogers, who was the founder of the construction corporation bearing his name and a past president and governor of The Whitehall Club.

The speech presenting the prints was given by Mr. White and Mr. Ketcham. The acceptance speech on behalf of The Whitehall Club was given by Peter Burbank, president of A.L. Burbank & Company, Ltd., in the absence of the Club's president, James J. Henry, chairman of J.J. Henry Co., Inc.
