Waukesha Engine Names Lee Acting President

Dresser Industries, Inc., Waukesha, Wis. 53186, has announced that Robert A. D'Amour, president of Waukesha Engine Division since 1970, has resigned.

C.E. Lee, vice president-manufacturing, has been assigned the additional responsibilities of acting president of the Division, pending the selection of Mr.

D'Amour's successor.

Mr. D'Amour will continue with Dresser Industries as a special consultant to John D. Piatt, president of the Power Systems Group of Dresser. Waukesha Engine is an operating unit of that group.

A former sales engineer for Cummins Engine Company, Mr.

D'Amour joined Waukesha in 1952. During his career of 25 years, he served as OEM sales manager (1959), vice presidentsales (1968), senior vice president- marketing (1969), before assuming the presidency.

Mr. Lee joined Waukesha in 1970 as vice president-operations.

Mr. Lee has been Canton, Ohio, plant manager for White Engines, Inc., and before that, manager of Chrysler's engine plant in Highland, Mich. In 1974, Mr. Lee left Waukesha to supervise construction of a Chrysler factory in Iran. He returned to Waukesha in October 1974 as vice presidentmanufacturing.

Mr. Lee is currently supervising Waukesha's new plant expansion program.
