F.T. Shaver Appointed Washington Director For Sun Ship

Sun Ship, Inc., Chester, Pa., has appointed F. Trent Shaver to the newly created position of director of Washington Operations.

He will be responsible for developing and maintaining contact with the U.S. Military, the U.S. Maritime Administration, and other key Washington-based groups involved in the procurement of new ships and the conversion or repair of existing ships.

He will report to Richard Orth of Sun Ship's headquarters in Chester.

Prior to joining Sun Ship, Mr.

Shaver was a senior research analyst with Presearch, Inc. in Arlington, Va. He had a distinguished Naval career, retiring at the rank of captain in 1977.

His Navy duty assignments included service with the Charleston Naval Shipyard, engineering officer on the USS Truckee, ship design coordinator with the Bureau of Ships, Ship Characteristics Board staff with the Chief of Naval Operations, senior naval advisor to Vietnamese Naval Shipyard, and deputy comptroller for the Naval Sea Systems Command.
