$4.5-Million Navy Contract Awarded To Sanders For Direction Finding Systems

Sanders Associates, Inc. of Nashua, N.H. has received an additional $4.5-million contract from the U.S. Navy for continued production of AN/BRD-7 shipboard direction finding systems.

The award, from the U.S.

Navy's Electronic Systems Command, brings to more than $9- million the total awarded to Sanders for the additional systems.

The AN/BRD-7 systems were developed and produced by Sanders in the 1970s under contracts totaling more than $50 million.

Work will be performed by the company's Surveillance Systems Division in Nashua. Sanders is engaged in research, development and production of electronic systems and components for the defense and commercial markets.

The company reported sales of $436 million in fiscal 1982.
