Kavanagh Named Vice President At Dock Express

Roger P. Kavanagh has joined the Dock Express organization as vice president, it was announced recently by Warren R.

Wheelock, president.

Mr. Kavanagh brings to this new position broad experience in the international shipment of specialized cargoes, including several years with a large projectoriented forwarding and freight contracting firm. His most recent position prior to joining Dock Express was manager of transportation services for a leading i n t e r n a t i o n a l engineering and construction company.

The addition of Mr. Kavanagh to Dock Express is in response to significant increases in the company's U.S. business volume, and also reflects the company's plan to expand the range of specialized transportation services offered to U.S. shippers. Mr.

Kavanagh, who has a solid background in liner as well as chartering activities, will be primarily concerned with the commerial and project management aspects of the business.

Dock Express Contractors, Inc., a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Dock Express Shipping, bv of Rotterdam, Netherlands, specializes worldwide in the ocean and land transport of unusually large, heavy and schedule-critical cargoes, as well as general cargoes.

North American offices are located in Houston, Texas, and Greenwich, Conn.
