Nashville Bridge Delivers Pair of Utility Barges To Piling-Structures Inc.

Two 120-foot by 45-foot by 7-foat deck barges have been constructed by Nashville Bridge Company (NABRICO), Nashville, Tenn., for Piling & Structures, Inc., Jacksonville, Fla.

The barges, the first constructed by NABRICO for the Florida company, will be used in general construction work, carrying equipment and cranes. Each of the barges is classed by the American Bureau of Shipping for all ocean service.

Piling and Structures, Inc. is a 25-year-old marine contracting firm engaged in ;he construction of bridge foundations and waterfront structures as well as dredging operations. The company, which now has a fleet of lo barges and three towboats, recently entered the marine equipment leasing market.

Headquartered in Nashville, NABRfCO is a wholly owned subsidiary of The American Ship Building Company, Tampa, Fla. The company has been in the marine field for more than 60 years and is primarily concerned with the design, engineering and barges for river and ocean service as well as drydo:ks and towboats.
