Must be certified h.s. graduate (baccalaureate de- sireable and required for promotion) with 5 years experi- ence in training officer or chief's level. Must have a work- ing knowledge of shipboard terminology and the marine environment. Completion of shipboard firefighting school or equivalent highly desirable. Prefer at least 4 years of ac- tive service with the Merchant Marine.
