PPE Expands Endura

Range of Sealing Solutions

Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE) has developed EnDura E90SR, a new

EPDM elastomer material that pro- vides outstanding high temperature steam resistance. EnDura E90SR is available as O-rings, T Seals and cus- tom-molded geometries and is used in pumps, valves, turbines, geother- mal tools and drilling equipment.

Unlike traditional EPDM materials

EnDura E90SR can withstand high temperatures (550°F) and high pres- sures, with excellent resistance to rapid gas decompression.

Ocean Safety gains

LR Authorization for gas cylinder inspection

Ocean Safety has received the EC

Certifi cate of Authorization from

Lloyds Register, allowing the com- pany to carry out all in-house cer- tifi cations of gas cylinders. Ocean

Safety is now authorized to pressure test many cylinders including com- posite, welded steel, seamless steel and aluminum gas. These cylinders are used in many applications with- in the commercial marine markets, including liferaft infl ation and fi re suppression systems.

Dyena Vessel Monitoring

System (VMS)

Dyena’s Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) is a compact rugged unit that will store up to 10 years of data, pro- viding a detailed record of structural events. Sampling at 2400 times per second, the Dyena VMS continu- ously monitors the shock and vibra- tions received by the vessel structure and stores the data to the onboard solid state memory, alongside posi- tion, speed, heading and time.

Industry’s First Global

Portable Satellite

Hotspot, Iridium GO!

Iridium Communications’ Iridium

GO! Is the fi rst portable satellite hotspot that connects to any smart- phone, extending voice and data coverage when out of range of cel- lular networks. Iridium GO! creates a satellite-backed Wi-Fi zone any- where on the planet, enabling up to fi ve smartphones to make calls, get their email, text and use some apps, even when terrestrial networks are non-existent, unreliable or costly.
