The Manager of Purchasing is responsible for all purchasing, material expediting, and

• Perform purchasing duties for parts and supplies for vessels, warehouse and of? ce and ensuring proper receipt of parts and supplies prior to processing invoices.

• Process invoices for all materials and supplies purchased.

• Develop blanket purchase orders with ? xed price and delivery terms for standard vendors to minimize process time and se- cure bulk purchasing discounts.

• Provide budget-reporting information.

• Competitively solicit vendors to obtain the best price versus quality balance.

• Establish systems to ensure proper bid- ding and bid review of major purchases within corporate guidelines and ensure all marine purchasing functions comply with said guidelines.

• Investigate new sources for major pur- chases and purchasing systems to ensure current market price and technology are maintained.
