Tupi South is located south of Lula feld, 302km off the coast of Rio de

Janeiro in a water depth of 2188m.

In December, Petrobras touted a fourth oil discovery, this time in the

Muriú well, in the ultra-deepwaters of the Sergipe-Algoas basin, 85km off the coast of Aracaju. Tests confrmed the presence of a 67m light oil col- umn in the Calumbi formation of the

Muriú well.

In October, Petrobras identifed a 176m oil column at the Jupiter Nor- deste extension well, located 7.5km from the main Jupiter discovery well inside ultra-deepwater Block BM-S- 24. The well sits 275km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
