Archives Program

The Naval Meteorology and

Oceanography Command (NMOC) joined the National Archives and Records

Administration (NARA) to establish one of the agency's first electronic data storage operations. Rear Adm. Timothy McGee,

NMOC commander, and Dr. Kenneth

Thibodeau, Director of NARA's

Electronic Records Archive (ERA)

Program, signed the agreement on May 25. "I am delighted be to a part of this exciting new project to preserve our nation's history and make it more accessi- ble to future generations," McGee said.

The command through the Naval

NARA will establish with the Naval

Oceanographic Office at its Stennis Space
