long range and very short range with vid- eo-like acoustic images useful for applica- tions such as support of detailed operations with manipulators on ROVs. Teledyne RESON launched the sec- ond generation of its compact Multibeam Echosounder for shallow water surveying, the SeaBat T20-P. With this release the ver- satility of the system is improved by sup- porting double the cable length (100m.) to wet-end sensors, and simultaneous Dual Head data collection for very wide-swath surveying requirements. What are some of the market trends driving the group today? The market for Multibeam Echo- sounders are competitive and customers expect constant improvements in function- ality and improved cost efÞ ciency in opera- tions. Especially in the offshore sector, de- mand for mature and ruggedized solutions are driving new technology and solutions for forward looking imaging sonars, soft- ware solutions to support operations and equipment to support a steady move to ex- ploration at still deeper waters. Another growth area is around Infra- structure monitoring and repair works at offshore constructions, and here the com- bined solution offering between Teledyne BlueView, RESON and Odom are suited to challenges in this Þ eld.Last but not least, the expectation is fur- ther consolidation in the industry Ð and a consolidation where Teledyne is playing a leading role.Caldwell Marine International is a New Jersey based heavy marine construction ? rm specializing in the installation of submarine power and ? ber cables.
