FRV 7417
In November Damen Shipyards Galati launched Baía Farta, a new Fishery Re- search Vessel (FRV) 7417 for the Ango- lan Ministry of Fisheries. The vessel’s sponsor was Dra. Isabel Cristóvão, di- rector of Gabinete de Estudos, Planea- mento e Estatística.
The FRV 7417 is suited to various purposes, including hydrographic op- erations, acoustics research, pelagic and demersal trawling, plankton, water, en- vironmental and geographical sampling, oil recovery and emergency towing operations.
