Michelle Barnett is the Ocean Science Business Development Manager at Sonardyne, where she works with marine scientists to apply advanced subsea positioning, navigation and communication technologies to ocean research. She holds a PhD in marine phytoplankton ecology and brings a strong background in both ocean science and industry.

Britten

Dr.-Ing. Simon Britten has over 15 years of experience in applied laser technology. He earned his PhD in laser materials processing from RWTH Aachen University, Germany.

Since 2018, he has been with Laserline GmbH, where he serves as Senior Technology

Manager and focuses on high power blue diode lasers and their new applications in

Britten Laursen maritime environment.

Amir Garanovic is managing editor of Offshore Engineer. He has covered offshore energy and maritime industry since 2014, with a special focus on renewable energy sector and emerging clean energy technologies.

Kohnen

William Kohnen is president and CEO of HYDROSPACE Group Inc., a California company expert in manned submersibles, mission critical control systems and pressure vessels for human occupancy. Mr. Kohnen has 30 years of experience in engineering, from space to subsea industries with a mission to provide complete solutions to all types of high reliability applications.

She has completed a Master of Science research degree in marine ecology as well as diplomas in journalism, communication and subediting.
