Demetrion Joins ONA In Key Post As Firm Enters Shipping Field Overseas National Airways, which is building a cruise ship and has options on two more, has ap-pointed a former Home Line ex-ecutive, James S. Demetrion, as assistant to the president for mari-time affairs. The appointment was announced by G. F. Steedman Hinckley, presi-dent of Overseas National. Mr. Demetrion has been with the Home Lines since 1962, most recently as assistant manager-pas-senger sales-U.S.A. and assistant to the director. Earlier, he had worked for the Incres Line, Hol-land-America Line and Overseas Charter and Shipping Co. The keel will be laid for ONA's first cruise ship in Amsterdam this November. The ship is scheduled for delivery in early 1971. Over-seas National, which plans to op-erate the vessel in the Caribbean in the winter and the Mediterran-ean in summer on fly-and-cruise vacations, is seeking Civil Aero-nautics Board approval to create a maritime subsidiary. ONA, a supplemental airline with a fleet of 21 all turbine-powered aircraft, operates commercial char-ter flights domestically, into the Caribbean and across the Atlantic and has authority to fly military charter flights worldwide. In addi-tion to its shipping venture, the airline has also created a hotel sub-sidiary. Todd-CEA Elects Millard E. Prowler V-P And General Mgr. Millard E. Prowler Millard E. Prowler has been elected vice-president and general manager of Todd-CEA, Inc., 120 Park Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10017, a subsidiary of Combustion Equipment Associates, Inc., Wil-liam H. Bohn, president, recently announced. Mr. Prowler, formerly sales manager, will direct the activities of all departments of Todd includ-ing marine, combustion systems and TIFA products. The company is a major manufacturer of marine and oceanographic equipment, au-tomatic energy systems for indus-try and marine installations and municipal health products. Mr. Prowler, a former marine engineer, joined the Todd Ship-yards Corporation in 1939 as trial and guarantee engineer for ships fitted with Todd equipment. Dur-ing World War II he was an engi-neering officer in the merchant ma-rine and returned to Todd Ship-yards at the conclusion of hostili-ties. He served in various capacities in estimating and selling and became general manager of Thermo Prod-ucts, Inc., a Todd Shipyards' sub-sidiary which conducted experi-mental work in combustion systems and combustion chambers. Later he became a sales engineer and origi-nal equipment sales manager for Todd combustion equipment. Since Todd-CEA, Inc. was ac-quired by Combustion Equipment Associates early this year he has been sales manager of the sub-sidiary.
