Protect steel with INTER-ZINC

The 75' steel shrimp vessel "Captain Jack" built by Allied Shipyard, Inc. for A.J. Buquet, Inc. Here is an outstanding example of utilizing the excellent anti-corrosive properties of "INTER-ZINC" and "INTERGARD" in coniunction with "INTERLUX" finishes such as No. 49 "BOTTOMKOTE" Antifouling and G.M. No. 133 Fumeproof While.

In addition to "INTER-ZINC" the following coatings were used on the "Captain Jack": "INTERGARD" No. 4437 Primer as a tie-coat • LAGOLINE*

Gloss Enamels • G. M. No. 114 Gloss Black and No. 133 Fume- proof White on exteriors • INTERLUX" PRIMOCOr Silver • "INTERLUX" BOTTOMKOTE® Antifouling Red No. 49. "INTER-ZINC" is an inorganic zinc silicate coating designed for greater protection of steel surfaces. It is extremely corrosion resistant. Its high metallic zinc content provides exceptional cathodic protection to exposed steel in abraded areas. "INTER-ZINC" requires no special curing solution for hardening.

It is self curing. It can be applied at temperatures as low as 0°F or up to 95% relative humidity with no effect on the cure. It can be subjected to extreme changes in atmosphere 20 minutes after application. "INTER-ZINC" provides superior durability resistance to "rust creep" and has remarkable abrasion resistance when cured.

One coat of "INTER-ZINC" protects steel structures. In marine use, it is unparallelled as a primer for other coatings such as

INTERGARD® Epoxies, on ships' hulls, superstructures or off-shore drilling platforms, barges and steel piers. "INTER-ZINC" is specifically formulated for simple overcoating.

Overcoat "INTER-ZINC" with any "INTERGARD" Two Package

Epoxy. Overcoat "INTER-ZINC" with "INTERGARD" 4437 for interim contamination protection and/or for subsequent top coats of con- ventional International Alkyds, "INTERGARD" Epoxies, and any other type International heavy duty paints.
