L * • This fast LNG/LPG carrier will be powered by a Sulzer cross-head two-stroke cycle dual-fuel engine delivering 20000 BHP. Direct-drive en- gines of this type are capable of producing up to 35000 BHP in one unit (full diesel output) while running on the boil-off gas and have thermal efficiencies comparable to their straight diesel counterparts. They accept bunker-C oil as pilot fuel which may run as low as 5 % of the total heat input.
