We'll take good care of her, whether she's suffered major damage, or needs only minor repair or reconditioning. We have all the necessary skills and tools to make her fit for her next voyage . . . and quickly, if you're in a hurry. We'll even change her character by conversion, if you wish, or increase her capacity by lengthening or jumboizing.
Our seven ship repair yards — on the
American East, Gulf, and West Coasts — offer complete and dependable repair ser- vice. You'll find no better accommoda- tions anywhere in the world.
BALTIMORE
In Baltimore Harbor, our Key Highway and Fort McHenry yards constitute the largest and most complete ship repair- ing facility in the United States. At nearby Fairfield,
Bethlehem operates an efficient shore-based plant for cleaning tanks of all sizes. Our Baltimore yards maintain five dry docks and more than 10,000 ft of pier berthing space, all fully serviced with utilities and large-capacity cranes. They regularly perform work spanning the entire range of ship maintenance and repair, and handle large- scale conversion and jumboizing jobs—along with new construction of special ships and barges—plus all kinds of industrial work. 56 Maritime Reporter/Engineering News
