F.A.E. Redman Joins

Waukesha Motor Co.

As Far East Rep

F.A.E. Redman

F.A.E. Redman has joined Wau- kesha Motor Company's Interna- tional Organization in the capacity of regional representative for 'the

Far East.

The announcement was made by

P.C. Trombley, field sales director-

International, for the Waukesha,

Wis.-ibased engine and power sys- tems equipment manufacturer. He will be based at Waukesha's Singa- pore office.

Mr. Redman comes to Waukesha from Motor Specialties Ltd., Wau- kesha's international distributor in

Aukland, New Zealand, so is well- acquainted with Waukesha prod- ucts and service. His previous ex- perience includes 12 years with

Ruston Diesels Ltd., in England, and three years with the Canadian subsidiary, Lister-Blackstone.

Mr. Redman is an apprenticeship graduate of Blackstone & Co.

Oil Co.'s new basic training pro- gram for producing operations per- sonnel. The presentation, to be made by E.L. Pace and C.R. Tur- ner, with Shell's Offshore Division in New Orleans, La., will describe the program's results in the spe- cific areas of knowledge gain, attri- tion rates, and trainee morale. The program's expenditures will also be discussed.

The Offshore Technology Con- ference .is an international techni- cal meeting and exhibition devoted- to the development of the world's offshore resources. The conference, which is jointly sponsored by 11 engineering and scientific societies, is expected to attract more than 25,(XX) persons.

Sixth Annual Offshore Technology

Conference, May 6-8, 1974, at the

Astrohall in Houston, Texas.

The paper—-to 'be presented by

Robert B. Abel and Leonard Mit- chell, with the U.S. Department of

Commerce—is a sequel to the spe- cial session conducted at the 1973

Conference entitled "Education and

Manpower 'Needs for the Offshore

Industry." Mr. Abel is director of the National Sea Grant Program in

Rockville, Md., and Mr. Mitchell is with the National Oceanic and At- mospheric Administration in Rock- ville.

The "Education and Manpower

Needs" discussion will be high- lighted by a presentation describ- ing recent research on offshore technology training and employ- ment, case studies conducted at community colleges specializing in or related to offshore technology, and preliminary statistics gathered from an OCT and Sea Grant ques- tionnaire.

The session will also include a paper outlining the results of Shell

Seaworthy.
