Adrian And Cibella

Union Mechling Corporation, a subsidiary of Dravo Corporation, has announced the appointments of

Barrie B. Adrian as manager of barge maintenance, and Richard S.

Cibella as industrial relations man- ager.

Formerly industrial relations manager for Union Mechling, Mr.

Adrian joined a predecessor com- pany, Union Barge Line Corp., in 1957 as an operating engineer.

Mr. Adrian, a graduate of the

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in marine engineering, is a member of

The Propeller Club of Pittsburgh and is a trustee and secretary of

Great Lakes and Rivers Maritime

Pension Fund. :Mr. Cibella, formerly manager of employment practices for Dravo, joined the company in 1969.

A graduate of Alderson Broad- dus College, Philippi, W. Va., he .is a former employee of Liberty

Mutual Insurance Company.

Since 1969, Mr. Hernandez has been with the California-based West- ern Customer Service Division of

Worthington Corporation. Previ- ously, he served as a marine engi- neer after graduating from the U.S.

Merchant Marine Academy at

Kings Point, N.Y., in 1966. He holds a B.S. degree in marine engi- neering.

Barber Lines, the world's largest semi-container operators, has an- nounced the opening of its own company in Singapore.

Singapore and the Southeast re- gion of Asia are areas with steady growth for Barber Lines, and con- tinued growth is expected for these areas in the years to come.

Ltd., the name of the new company, will have an important task in strengthening the Lines' services offered to exporters and importers in Singapore and Malaysia. Today,
