Just call us and our engineers will customize a

Sperry Steering Gear to fit your specific require- ments. Sperry s modular Steering Gear not only permits various arrangements to suit hull shape, but also makes installation easier.

Check the list of features below and you will see why Sperry can deliver the Steering Gear that best suits your needs. 1. Multiple double acting cylinders provide even torque. 2. Clevis mounted hydraulic cylinders will not bind from normal wear; nor from minor mis- alignments in installation. 3. Constant delivery, multi-stage vane pumps provide accelerations and decelerations similar to variable delivery pumps. 4. Dual flow vane pumps can handle rather high particulate concentrations without affecting operation. 5. Automatic brake valve holds rudder and permits helmsman to select either pump by simply pressing a button in the wheelhouse. 6. No coolers required. Cost of cooler and its installation is eliminated. 7. One cylinder can be disconnected and swung out of the way, permitting emergency operation with remaining cylinder(s). 8. Emergency steering can be accomplished at full rudder rate, using direct, non follow-up pump control. 9. System easy to maintain by ship's force. 10. Built to highest standards. Complies with all regulatory requirements.
