GULF SECTION QUARTERLY MEETING — Members of the Gulf Section of The So- ciety of Naval Architects and Marine Engi- neers recently held their Quarterly Evening

Dinner and Technical Session at the Foun- tainbleau Motor Hotel, New Orleans, La.

Those in attendance heard a paper, "Char- acteristics of Ultrasonic Testing," following the meal. The author, David V. Raacke, a consultant with Owensby & Kritikos, Inc.,

Gretna, La., also showed slides which vis- ually demonstrated the advantages of this type testing. Shown above, Sal Guarino (center), vice chairman of the Gulf Section, and Ralph Martin (right), American Bureau of Shipping, congratulate Mr. Raacke on his paper presentation.

Effective August 1, the Reliance Paint

Company in New York and Camrex (Hold- ings) Ltd. of the United Kingdom merged, and their new name will be the Camrex

Reliance Paint Company, Inc., U.S.A.
