Repair Superintendent

Marine engineering degree desired, plus qualification for Marine Engineer's license, in addition to 5 years seagoing experience as engineering officer and some shore-based repair supervisory work. You will supervise senior vessel officers regarding repair activities... be responsible for ship repairs to ensure safe operation of international fleet. . . and make inspection sea voyages. . . interesting travel (perhaps 30% of the time).

Ship Superintendent (Similar to Assistant Port Engineer). B.S. in engineering, preferably marine or mechan- ical. Ideal candidate will hold Third Assistant Engineer license, and will have sailed aboard ocean-going vessels or have experience in utility type power plants. You will work with seagoing personnel on field trips aboard vessels for trouble-shooting and equipment tests. ..gather and analyze basic data on vessel performance... investigate poor performance. . . prepare control studies for checks on fuel consump- tion, cargo handling, and other engineering efforts for optimum vessel operation.

Senior Marine Design Engineer

This position requires a B.S. in Marine or Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred) and at least seven to ten years' experience in ship design with particular stress in general marine engineering. Experience in a major shipyard engineering department (or equivalent major design consultants' office) is preferred.

Specific responsibilities will revolve around all phases of diesel and steam power plant and associated equipment design. You will function as a technical specialist in marine machinery, reviewing and consulting of such matters as equipment selection and arrangements for new construction and conversions.
