Ports Of Seattle And Tacoma Will Host 54th Annual Convention Of

The Propeller Club Of The U.S.

This year's 54th Annual Con- vention of The Propeller Club of the United States, and the con- current 1980 American Merchant

Marine Conference, will take place on October 8-10. The host Pro- peller Club Ports for the event will be Seattle and Tacoma, but all sessions will be held in Seat- tle's Washington Plaza Hotel.

General Co-chairmen for the

Convention are Richard D. Ford, executive director of the Port of

Seattle, and Richard Dale Smith, executive director of the Port of

Tacoma. Deputy Chairmen are

John P. Sullivan, attorney, Bogle & Gates, Seattle; and Hugh Wild, senior director, Port of Tacoma.

Chairman of the American Mer- chant Marine Conference is Sid- ney D. Campbell, chairman of the board, Foss/Dillingham, Seattle;

Jasper Baker will serve as Vice

Chairman. Carl R. Meurk, vice president of Todd-Pacific, is Con- ference Deputy Chairman.

In addition to the agenda listed in the Calendar of Events, there will be a pre-convention golf tour- nament on October 6 at the Rain- ier Golf & Country Club, and an early arrivals reception in Seat- tle's Space Needle on October 7.
