Major petroleum tanker operator offering career opportunities in the following positions.

SHIP SUPERINTENDENT

Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of ves- sel operations in the domestic and international fleets. Responsibilities include administering the maintenance and repair of hulls, machinery and equipment, and writing repair specifications. Posi- tion requires 3-5 years marine operating experi- ence in handling shipyard repairs and negotiations.

Chief engineers license required. Slow speed die- sel experience and knowledge necessary. Chicago based. Travel required.

REPAIR INSPECTOR

Supervise and attend vessels during maintenance and overhaul periods. Review log books and vessel reports. Determine operating efficiency of engines.

Write repair specifications and evaluate repair reports. Maritime school graduates with two years marine engineering sea experience on tankers pre- ferred or five years sailing as chief engineer.

Travel required.

ENGINEERING COORDINATOR

Coordinates new construction and other design activities. Interprets and assists in implementing various new regulatory requirements. Five years of marine engineering experience is required.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

COORDINATOR

Reviews and analyzes engineering data and ship reports to determine maintenance and repair trends, inefficient equipment and operation. Main- tains inventories and follow up on equipment un- der repair. Engineering background required. Ma- rine experience preferred.
