Krupp Atlas Offers

Literature On Two

New Products

Krupp Atlas-Elektronik re- cently introduced two new prod- ucts to their line of navigational and hydrographic survey aids.

The Polarfix is a fully auto- mated combined range/azimuth laser dynamic position fixing sys- tem incorporating automatic tracking and data processing facil- ities. Suited for operation in ports and inland waterways, it is de- signed to overcome geometric siting and signal transmission dif- ficulties associated with the operation of radio position fixing systems in these environments.

System accuracy for short ranges is of the order of ±0.2m per km of measured range.

Another new product, the Deso- cript is an add-on, low-cost micro- processor based annotator unit for use with the Atlas DESO 20. It converts the DESO 20 to a fully automated data logger or mini- survey system by supplementing normal echo-trace data with the simultaneous annotation of posi- tion and depth data on the same recording paper.
