Caterpillar Offers Free
Literature On New Lift Truck
For Containers
Caterpillar has introduced a new
V925 lift truck designed for the worldwide container handling in- dustry. The V925 has 75,000 pounds of capacity when equipped with a container handling spreader for moving and stacking fully loaded 20 to 40-foot containers at dockside, rail yards, and transfer terminals. The truck, largest in the Caterpillar Lift Truck product line, is now available and is de- scribed in free literature.
Among the V925's special proven design features is the oil disc brake system. The multiple disc design provides significantly more brak- ing surface than standard shoe- type or dry caliper disc brakes lasting up to 15,000 hours under continuous operation.
The V925's planetary power shift transmission (currently used in large Cat wheel loaders) has four speeds forward and reverse. The transmission can be shifted at speeds up to 5 mph without poten- tial damage or shortened life.

Squire-Cogswell Offers
Literature On Oil-Free
Marine Air Compressors
Squire-Cogswell Company, air and vacuum specialists since 1916, has been providing 100 percent oil-free air for industrial and ma- rine shipboard applications with their Pur-Pax single and two-stage oil-free air compressors. The Two
Stage Air Compressor features a unique Dyna-Balance system which incorporates a synchronized coun- terweight design that eliminates the need for special base founda- tions normally required for recip- rocating type air compressors.
The key to smooth performance is a pair of gear driven counter- weights that move at the same speed as the pistons but in an op- posite direction. This feature dam- pers out most vibration under both load and unloaded conditions.
Available in motor ratings from 5 to 30 hp, standard unit capacities range from 20 cfm to 104 and pres- sures to 125 psig.
Reliability, pricing and perform- ance makes the Pur-Pax Air Com- pressor a desirable choice for ship- board installations.
