The Sanctuary started in December 1^71 and has worldwide recognition for rescue-recuperation and release of injured birds caused by environmental pollution, oil slicks, pesticides and man made en- croachments into what was once the wild birds' own natural habitat.

The facility is in vital need of a suitable work boat — approximately 100 feet — twin engine in reasonably good condition to carry out research projects to treat, rehabilitate and release thousands of injured birds every year.
