Banning Named Director

Of Technical Services

Versatile Pacific Shipyards Inc. of

B.C., Canada, has announced the appointment of Ronald H. Ban- ning as director of technical ser- vices. He will direct the company's technical services overall, including the production of design drawings, computer-assisted design and draft- ing, detailed engineering studies, and will also provide support for estimating and materials purchas- ing.

For the past five years Mr. Ban- ning has been involved with sales engineering for marine propulsion equipment and has worked as an engineering consultant, including assignments for both Versatile Pa- cific and Versatile Corporation.

From 1974 to 1980 he served with

Burrard Yarrows Corporation (now renamed Versatile Pacific Ship- yards), first as chief engineer and then as operations manager.
