Medium sized Northeast Wisconsin shipyard is seeking candidates for the position of Production

Engineering Manager. A degree in Naval Architec- ture/Marine Engineering or comparable degree and 6 to 10 years of experience reflecting knowledge of the inner workings of primary shipyard divisions of

Production, Planning and Engineering for new con- st ruction. Experience in all phases of ship construc- tion, including detail design, production, testing, trials and delivery; understanding of the producibil- ity requirements of production trades and capabili- ties of shipyard facilities; Computer Aided Design (CAD) oriented with knowledge of its application to model compositing of a ship detail design integra- tion, checking for interferences and production se- quencing of construction. In addition to CAD you should be familiar with statistical Process Control, work methods analysis to assure design for produc- tion in addition to design for performance. Experi- ence with Design Standards Program would be beneficial. Liaison experience with waterfront prob- lem resolution would be helpful. The individual selected must be highly motivated with a sense of urgency; have strong oral and written communica- tion skills and the ability to manage skilled person- nel of highly technical backgrounds.
