Your primary responsibil- ity will be to supervise the repair and mainte- nance of hull and machinery equipment on our fleet of twelve vessels. SHIPYARD GENERAL MANAGER

General Manager for newly planned Gulf Coast ship- yard. Ideal candidates will be degreed naval architect/ marine engineer with 7 to 10 years experience design and construction of deep water vessels. Additional work experience can substitute for degree. Candidates probably serving now as shipyard general manager or now number 2 or 3 in an active shipyard and ready to move up. Candidate must possess good academic and work background, must be able to recruit, schedule and direct large number of skilled employees. Have a successful history of preparing and working with tight construction budgets, material purchasing and con- struction cost control. Prospective individual must have a degree in Electrical

Engineering and five to ten years experience in the marine field, two years of which were in a supervisory position.

Strong emphasis must have been in power, lighting, and controls with good knowledge of shipboard electronics. A solid background in commercial Regulatory Agency Rules (ABS, USCG, IEEE-45) and Navy MILSPEC reguirements is desirable.

Naval Architect

Prospective individuals should have a degree in Naval

Architecture and be familiar with calculations for stability, strength, ship geometry and weight estimating, ship motions, resistance, and powering. This is an entry level position.

Prior experience is desired but not reguired.
