Ocean Springs' Mayor, the Honora- ble Chester McPherson and VL president Margaret Vallor. VL
Logistics offers logistic support ser- vices from proposal preparation through contract deliverables for cost-effective life cycle support of systems/equipment, with a special emphasis on use of existing data systems and reapplication of pre- viously developed, proven informa- tion. VL's capabilities include inte- grated logistic support plans, com- puter software development, techni- cal publications, provisioning/out- fitting, system engineering, quality assurance plans, reliability and maintainability studies, engineer- ing/technical documentation, sys- tem engineering and program/proj- ect management.

The 70-foot-long Theresa & Allyson is pow- ered by a Caterpillar 3408 DITA with a Twin

East Boothbay, Maine, recently de- livered the 70-foot-long steel drag- ger/scalloper Theresa & Allyson to its owner, David Jordan.. The vessel is now fishing out of Portland,
Maine. The Theresa & Allyson has a beam of 20 feet and depth of 10 feet 6 inches. Propulsion is supplied by a
Caterpillar 3408 DITA with a Twin
Disc 516 6:1 reduction gear.
The vessel has accommodations forward, fishhold amidship and en- gineroom aft. The fishhold is built with a capacity of about 2,500 cubic feet 40 pounds/cubic foot, about 100,000 pounds.
Other features include fishhold sheathing by Masterbond, electron- ics by Ross Marine, deck machinery and hydraulics by Down East Ma- chine and Engineering, and paint system by Devoe.
The Theresa & Allyson is a sister ship to the three-year-old Elizabeth, owned by Cyrus Lauriat and fishing out of Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

Marinette Marine Launches
Second MCM Vessel
The mine countermeasure ship
Champion (MCM-4) was recently launched at Marinette Marine Cor- poration, Marinette, Wis.
The Champion is the fourth ship of the new design "Avenger" (MCM-1) class vessel scheduled to be delivered to the U.S. Navy. The ships are 224 feet in length, have a beam of 37 feet, a draft of approxi- ^ mately 11 feet, and a full load dis- placement of approximately 1,300 tons. They are equipped with the latest state-of-the-art combat sys- tems equipment designed to search and destroy mines.
MCM-4 is the second MCM ves- sel to be constructed by Marinette
Marine, the first, MCM-2, is sched- uled to be delivered to the Navy on
August 11, 1989. Keel-laying for a third vessel, MCM-7, took place in 1987.
