Gelcoat colors.
According to Ezio Allemano, marketing manager for the com- pany, "This product achieves the highest level of performance while maintaining a pleasing soft feel."
Reported advantages to the new fabric are easy application and main- tenance, "low sheen" appearance, and resistance to burnishing and scuffing.

Panama Canal Pilots
To Be Trained By MSI
The Panama Canal Commission has exercised their option with
MarineSafety International to con- duct advanced shiphandling train- ing courses for Panama Canal pilots in 1992. The training is conducted at MarineSafety's Newport, RI, training facility which houses 4 in- teractive, computer-generated im- aging, ship simulators.
The training consists of simula- tor exercises involving various types of ships transiting the Canal under various environmental and traffic conditions. The simulation includes a visual and depth model of the entire Canal from outside the break- water at Cristobal to the sea buoy at the Pacific entrance channel. Dur- ing their passage through the "Ca- nal" the pilots must cope with vari- able winds and currents, the effects of banks and shallow water, adverse weather and many other factors which might affect the safe han- dling of their "vessels."
The objective of the pilot training is to sharpen the skills of the experi- enced Pilots and provide practice in meeting a variety of unexpected situ- ations for less-experienced Pilots.
This type of training has proven to be very effective in helping to pre- vent collisions or oil spills before they happen.
In addition to the program for the
Panama Canal Pilots, MarineSafety conducts training at Newport for pilots from Canada, Bermuda, South
America and various regions of the
United States.

"The SEA FORCE™ boat performed all of these functions to our satisfac- tion and also provides a powerful, fast rescue boat," he continued.
Willard Marine, Inc., aU.S. owned firm, has been in business for over 30 years.
