In order to better support and educate more about our nation's maritime environmental issues, goals and strategies, the American Society of Naval Engineers is sponsoring the Fall 1992 Maritime Environmental Symposium to be held at the McLean Hilton,
Tyson's Corner, Virginia.
Hear and discuss over 20 technical papers and presentations that are to be delivered by national and international experts on issues such as: • Current and Emerging Legislation and Regulations • International Issues • Waste Minimization • Hazardous Material Management • Shoreside Compliance and Restoration • Oceanography - Global Change • Environmental Education and Training • R&D Requirements - Afloat and Ashore • Spill Prevention, Dynamics and Clean-up • Ship/Aircraft Systems/Equipment Design Impacts • Environmental Information Systems
This two day symposium is expected to attract more than 400 attendees representing the Federal Government, environmental organizations, and maritime industries. More than 25 exhibits will also be on display.
