Iliott Manufacturing Acquires itow Manufacturing's Valve

Control Product Line

Elliott Manufacturing Co. and tow Manufacturing, two of the orld's largest producers of valve mtrol products, have recently ined forces.

According to George M. Scherer, president of B.W. Elliott Manufac- turing, Elliott and Stow Manufac- turing have signed an asset-pur- chase agreement transferring to

Elliott all of Stow's assets involved in remote valve operator produc- tion.

With the acquisition, Elliott plans to expand its share of the marine and nuclear markets by more ag- gressively moving into new growth niches.

Stow will concentrate its efforts on continuing growth in the circuit- assembly and construction-equip- ment markets.

Customers of both Stow and

Elliott should benefit from Elliott's acquisition.

In addition to expanding its valve control product line, the acquisition reportedly positions Elliott as the largest flexible-shaft company in the

U.S. Flexible shafts are an integral part of many remote valve operat- ing systems, including Elliott's

Uniflex Remote Valve Operator (RMVO). "Uniflex" has gained wide accep- tance among all major government procurement agencies, including

NAVSEA.

Stow valve control customers' re- quirements will be handled by

Elliott, effective immediately.
