ESAB Cutting Equipment Retrofit Benefits Marinette Juniper Class Construction
After winning the U.S. Coast
Guard (USCG) contract for the^ construction of seven new vesse of the Juniper and Keeper clashes,
Marinette Marine, Marinette,
Wi^ NOW THERE'S A COMMUNICATIONS STATION
SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR THE BRIDGE
Now installing a communications station on
the bridge is a simple straightforward
proposition.
The new Solas Lifeline is everything you
need, and everything GMDSS demands.
Solas Lifeline is a small, very compact, self-
contained system, flexible enough to fit into
any bridge layout.
Mounting can be bulkhead, desk or on its
own pedestal.
The console is a purpose-built, engineered
solution designed to meet the ISO 8468
bridge layout guidelines.
Solas Lifeline offers four electronic
configurations, providing variations in satellite
communications and terrestrial
duplication.
Systems such as
the most widely
used Inmarsats, of
which there are over
10000 already
operating at sea,
and the world's latest
400W transceiver.
WE MAKE IT EASY
Battery chargers and power
supplies are housed in a separate
unit. This gives you the option of
positioning it off the bridge up to 30
metres away via an umbilical cable.
The printers are mounted in
specially designed trays and separate
VHF modules provide a flexible
installation option.
Installation is simple and
straightforward. Everything is prewired
and fully tested.
The operator panels are housed in a
rugged console. Antivibration techniques give
added protection and increased reliability.
Straightforward design
makes servicing easy through the
front of the equipment.
With the minimum of training your
staff will find operating Solas Lifeline
no problem at all.
Installing and operating a
communications Ration on the
bridge has never been\o easy.
