Kockums Computer Systems (KCS) offers the Tribon Compart- ment module, which focuses on reducing the workhours during the design of the internal arrangement and compartmentation of a ship, providing an advanced facility for the modeling and visualization of designs.

Tribon Compartment has been introduced into the geometric mod- eling facilities of the Initial Design application of Tribon. Like the advanced Tribon Surface module,

Compartment uses the ACIS geo- metric modeling engine from

Spatial Technology Inc. KCS has restructured its special purpose shipbuilding software based on this advanced, highly interac- tive modeling tool.

The generation of bulkheads and decks is very general, therefore, Tribon Compartment can be applied to complex structural arrangements and a wide variety of vessels includ- ing submarines and SWATHs.
