Development. Offshore has also announced the opening of a Mid-
Atlantic office in Ellicott City, Md.
Mr. Ganjon was previously wit the U.S. Department of Commerce, and for more than 10 yea^, has been the NOAA representative on the International Bydrographic
Organization (IHQrCommittee on
ECDIS. He alphas been the
NOAA representative on the U.S. delegatioi^o the IMO Safety of
Navigation Sub-Committee and the IMO/IHO Harmonization
Group on ECDIS.
Also to his credit, Mr. Ganjon initiated and chaired the 2nd
International Conference on
Maritime Law and the Electronic
Chart.
In addition, Dr. Lee Alexander has been appointed as the compa- ny's Technical manager. Prior to assuming this position, he served as program manager for
Integrated Navigation Systems at the U.S. Coast Guard Research and Development Center.

MAN B&W Involved In
Caribbean Power Station
Project
This Bahamian powerplant will receive engines and support services from MAN B&W and
Manises Diesel Engine Co.
An order for a 30-MW extension of Nassau's Clifton Pier power sta- 10K80MC, two-stroke, low speed engine, developing 33.1 MW at 102.9 rpm, is to be commissioned in 1998 as part of the extension of the power station which is operat- ed by the Bahamas Electricity
Corp. The new engine will comple- ment two existing nine-cylinder engines of the same type.
