BUSL 49403 is the first of an anticipated 34, 49-ft (15-m) stern loading buoy boats to be constructed at the USCG yard in Baltimore,

Md., throughout the next three years.

The yard is expected to deliver one vessel every six weeks for the duration of the $45 million new construction program. BUSL 49403 features a 16,000 lb. deck load, two fixed propellers and two 305-hp diesel engines. The vessel will be assigned to the Aids-To-Navigation

Team Woods Hole in Woods Hole, Mass., and will perform USCG aids-to-navigation, marine envi- ronmental and ice breaking missions. The
