Our new synthetic lubricant is helping

Germany's first high-speed ferries make history.

Introducing Mobilgard 1 SHC.

When Schiffahrtskontor Altes Land (SAL) launched Germany's first passenger ferries in 1996, we made history, too. Our pioneering partner chose a Mobil synthetic oil to lubricate its high-speed ferries' MTU 8V396 diesel engines. According to SAL

Technical Manager Roland Schulz, our synthetic oil was the only logical choice. You see, he believes world-class engines should be lubricated with world-class lubricants.

We couldn't agree more. So we worked closely with

SAL and MTU to field test new Mobilgard 1 SHC. The results of the test and the engine's excellent performance impressed everyone. In fact, all of SAL's ferries proudly bear the Mobil name and logo on their sides. You'll find us next to the flag signal meaning: My engines are ready.

I wish you a pleasant trip. To learn more, our Web site is http://www.mobil.com/marineproducts.
