Nera Helps Vessels Stay In

Touch

Nera's well-tested Saturn B and

Saturn C terminals were chosen by the boats participating in the high- profile Whitbread Around the

World Race to keep in touch with the rest of the world. The units provide for phone connections, as well as fax, e-mail and video recording transmission..The com- pany, by the end of 1997, had deliv- ered more than 2,000 B marine terminals, giving it significant marine market share. To better ensure it stays on top of a quickly evolving market segment, Nera introduced a new satellite station last fall, one which is designed as the primary system for small craft and to serve as a back-up system on large commercial craft.
