In March 1998, ^Alabama Shipyard delivered the AMALIENBORG, the first of two 16,000 dwt chemical tankers built for a Danish owner.
This delivery marks the first time in over 40 years an American shipyard , has built a commercial * ocean-going vessel for export.
The vessel is single decked, single screw with double bottom and double skin built in accordance with OPA 90.
