Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) have successfully demon strated the first Direct Charl

Reader for Digital Nautical Charts (DNC). Testing was completed in mid-June, and the Sperry Marine

Direct Chart Reader product was "validated by NIMA for accurate reading and display of DNC chart information," said Darryl

Garnett, a NIMA spokesperson.

The Direct Chart Reader software will be integrated into Sperry's

Voyage Management System.
