International's (MSI) Newport simulation center. The DeLong

Mountains Terminal, or "Red Dog", is located on the Chukchi Sea approximately 100 nautical miles

Arctic Circle and the International

Dateline. It will service Cominco

Alaska, which mines and ships zinc concentrate and lead.

Currently, ships are loaded at anchor by tug-delivered barges.

The marine terminal will allow alongside loading of product and may extend the shipping season from the current four month sum- mer period.

For Aerials

Coastal Oceanographies, the cre- ators of HYPACK, have modified the package to allow the use of reg- istered TIF files as backgrounds in the SURVEY program. Thus survey and construction operations can be displayed over an aerial photo- graph of the site. The photograph can be displayed "north up" or rotated to coincide with survey lines.
