MARINE ENGINEERING TRAINING

The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at

Kings Point, New York is one of the five federal service academies and the nation's premier maritime institution.

Along with the undergraduate program, USMMA offers the most extensive maritime and transportation continuing education program in the United States. Most courses are one to two-weeks in duration.

In addition to 100 course offerings in nautical science, maritime business, and intermodal transportation, USMMA Continuing Education offers over 35 marine engineering courses.

Instruction is provided by outstanding USMMA faculty and guest lecturers who are subject matter experts from industry. Classroom lecture is augmented by practical "hands-on" exercises utilizing the Academy's 22 magnificent engineering laboratories and waterfront vessels.

Supplementing regularly scheduled courses,

USMMA Continuing Education develops customized programs to meet the specific needs of a company or organization.
