James Marine Appoints Y2K

Project Leader

Rachael Calcioli has been appointed project leader for James

Marine Services Ltd.'s Year 2000 compliance program, which has been designed in accordance with its shipowner clients' quality and safety management systems, certi- fied to ISO 9002 and ISM codes.

James Marine is in the process of contacting its suppliers to deter- mine whether they are implement- ing a year 2000 compliance pro- gram, and whether the equipment they provide is Y2K compliant.

Millennium Strategy

All new Intergraph products currently sold are Year 2000 com- pliant or will be certified as new versions and utilities are released in 1998. Certification ensures that

Intergraph PCs, workstations, servers, and software will be com- pliant with Year 2000 date pro- cessing criteria and will be able to correctly process dates within and between the 20th and 21st cen- turies. Intergraph is evaluating prior generations of its hardware and software for compliance and will provide compliancy informa- tion in response to customer inquiries.

Swire Group Sets Y2K

Compliance Goals

Each operating company within the Swire Group has set up its own

Y2K project; the group as a whole aims to achieve Y2K readiness for its business-critical systems by

March 1999. Readiness will be achieved when an inventory of all relevant equipment and systems has been made and the same sys- tems have been assessed and test- ed for potential Y2K problems with a plan of action relating to any identified problems decided and arranged. Swire Group aims for complete compliance by June 1999. This will leave a reasonable amount of time in advance of the millennium date change for any last modifications.
