EBC Completes First North

American Project

EBC Gulf Coast completed its first

North American project using the EBE 500 UB Bottom Blaster. USF EBE, a manufacturer of machines for horizon- tal, vertical, and bottom steel surfaces, designed the EBE 500 UB.

The EBE 500 UB is designed to blast clean the underside of ships. It is a com- pletely self-contained unit with its own power plant, hydraulic and electrical systems, even its own on-board dust col- lection unit, which allows the machine to work independently without interfer- ing with other trades working nearby.

The EBC Gulf Coast-project was com- pleted at the San Francisco Dry Dock in

San Francisco on the "Maersk Constel- lation." Two technicians were sent from the Netherlands to train workers. The thickness of the paint was measured and it ranged from 55 to 90 mil, with an average over 70 mil. The EBE 500 was able to remove all the materials to an

SP10 on a single pass.

The Measure of Success ... Accuracy You

Can Count On

You need reliable measurements for reliable results. Using advanced Kistler pressure sensors and permanently fitted magnetic flywheel sensors, the DPA system takes more than 3600 measurements per revolution up to 500 rpm. The result is precise data with accuracy of ±0.1 degrees. Plus there's no need to disengage fuel pumps to adjust TDC while taking measurements—another boost to maximum precision!

Our leading technology has made the DPA system the model for value in automated combustion analysis.
