The quality of the entire engine depends on the precision of the manufactured components. For decades, MWH has been manufacturing engine components with such a high precision that the maximum number of operating hours can be achieved.
The stem clearance, for instance, is kept within tight tolerance - accurate to one hundredth of a millimetre during specified operating conditions - in order to achieve optimum efficiency.
