Moss Landing Marine Laboratories is part of the California

State University System and the 135 ft. R/V Point Sur is operated out of Moss Landing, CA and is an uninspected vessel at 297 GT.

Requires min. 5 years engineering experience on a seagoing vessel with a diesel propulsion plant greater than 500 hp. Or equivalent. Minimum 500-ton license preferred. Knowledge of diesel engines, propulsion systems, electric motors, hydraulic systems, refrigeration systems, electrical circuits and power distribution systems and water and sewage systems. Specific knowledge of Caterpillar engines preferred. Ability to interpret ship's drawings, plan projects and prepare job orders is essential.
